Byron Leftwich Makes a Move in American Football NFL

May 6

It has been reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers have made a new acquisition in the form of the veteran Byron Leftwich who tends to play the quarterback with such spectacular results. Some people might have some cynical views on this acquisition but I happen to think that it is great news for American football NFL in general. Even with his age, the quarterback has a very good chance of winning and improving the prospects of the team at the very least.  Some people have argued with some reason that this is just a replacement for the loss of Ben Roethlisberger at the start of the season and that the fans needed something to bite on in order to give them confidence for the new season.
Of course there are certain risks for the team and the American football NFL with this acquisition. One would like to think that the veteran will have no health problems at all but as we all know, age tends to catch up with the very best sports people at some point in their lives. It would be remarkable if Leftwich was totally immune to this trend after the transfer. In any case one can only wish him the very best of luck and hope that he makes a good run of it. In related news the Pittsburgh side made a 7 round pick in the American football NFL draft series. The Buccaneers were the exchange token.
As for Roethlisberger, he is in a bit of trouble and could face a significant suspension. This follows those rather lurid allegations of a twenty year old college student in Georgia who accuses him of sexual assault. This is not going to go down well with the authorities who are strict about personal conduct in the American football NFL. In contrast the suns are shining brightly for Leftwich who managed twenty one out of thirty six passes in the three hundred and three yards. His 2008 season was nothing short of spectacular. For the sake of the American football NFL, it is hoped that this new venture will be successful.
