Ben Roethlisberger, Once Again Finds Himself in Trouble
Ben Roethlisberger, the quarterback from the Pittsburgh Steelers, is in the news for being accused with a sexual assault case. Fred Bright, who is one of the district attorney in Georgia, is believed to announce his decision on Monday.
This Friday, he gave a statement that after reviewing all the investigation reports of the case, he will finally announce his decision about filing a case against Ben Roethlisberger for his act. It is expected that on Monday by 2 PM, he will announce the decision in a press conference.
Woodrow Blue, one of the chief police officer in Milledgeville, said on Wednesday that his police department along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has completed their investigation over the allegation from a 20-year-old college student. She has claimed that Ben Roethlisberger, who is also the two-time Super Bowl, has sexually assaulted her. According to her, she was sexually assaulted by Ben at a Club in Milledgeville. The incident happened around 5th of March this year.
On the other hand, Ben Roethlisberger has appointed a lawyer for his defense. Ed Garland, the lawyer from the side of Roethlisberger, has completely rebuffed the claims of sexual assault against Roethlisberger. He has set up his own team for investigating the case.
On the defense of Roethlisberger, Ed Garland said that Ben have never been indicted with any charges in the past by the law enforcement agency, and nor he has been involved in any cases of misconduct or misbehavior. He also expressed his firm belief on the district attorney of Georgia will announce a fair decision, and will free Ben from the criminal charges.
However, if we look into the past, then it is for the second time when Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault. During the year 2008, he was accused for raping a woman at a Lake Tahoe hotel and casino. However, even at that time he denied all the accusations and claimed them as false charges against him. Therefore, this time it will be interesting to see that what will be the decision of the district attorney for Ben Roethlisberger.
